MABCU - data for road nerds

About this website

MABCU

MABCU is a compilation of various traffic-related data, as published by the Department for Transport (DfT).

What does MABCU mean?

It doesn't mean anything. It's an acronym generated from the five different categories of roads in the UK:

  • Motorways
  • A roads
  • B roads
  • Locally Classified roads (aka C roads)
  • Unclassified roads

How do you pronounce MABCU?

That's entirely up to you, but I pronounce it "mab-koo".
